Official foundations + Kithms application layer

Official WIDB foundations, applied through practical AI.

The WIDB initiative was established by the International Training Centre of the ILO and Microsoft Philanthropies, with support from the ILO Women’s Entrepreneurship Development Programme. Kithms delivers the official WIDB Foundations curriculum and adds its own practical AI application layer. The added AI material is a Kithms programme enhancement; it is not presented as part of the official WIDB curriculum or certificate.

Questions

Frequently asked

How does rolling enrolment work?
You can enrol at any time. If the next cohort is scheduled and has space, you continue to payment. Otherwise, we record your place and email you when the next start date and payment window open.
How is my seat confirmed?
Your seat is reserved as soon as payment is completed. Use the same email address on the form and at checkout — we match your seat by email.
Who is this cohort for?
It is for women who already run a formal or informal business with up to 20 employees, or women with a clear business idea they are serious about starting within the next 6-12 months.
What is the practical AI layer?
It is a Kithms-designed application layer taught alongside the official WIDB Foundations curriculum. You use guided prompts and review methods to create a content plan, customer scripts, product copy, working policy drafts, and a reusable business AI playbook.
Is the AI layer part of the official WIDB certificate?
No. The official WIDB curriculum and certificate requirements remain distinct. The practical AI exercises are an additional Kithms programme enhancement, not a separate accreditation from WIDB, ILO, ITCILO, or Microsoft.
Do I need a paid AI subscription?
No. A supported free AI tier is enough for the guided exercises. Paid subscriptions, extra usage, and third-party platform fees are not included in the programme price.
Are the AI-drafted policies legal advice?
No. FAQs, store policies, and refund terms created during the programme are working drafts. You remain responsible for checking accuracy, suitability, and local legal requirements before publishing them.
How does WIDB address online safety?
You create practical visibility boundaries, strengthen account security, separate personal and business contact details where suitable, and learn how to block, report, document, and escalate harmful contact. These steps support safer participation but cannot guarantee that harassment will not occur.
How much time do I need?
Plan for approximately 25 hours over three weeks: more than 10 hours of live training and coaching, plus approximately 15 hours of WIDB platform modules and practical work.
Can I pay from outside Zambia?
Yes. International participants can pay by card via Whop or use Selar where available. The checkout shows the currency before payment.
Do I get a certificate?
Participants receive the WIDB certificate after meeting the accelerator's attendance, WIDB platform, and task-completion requirements.
What if I miss a live session?
Sessions are designed to be attended live because the support and exercises matter. Recordings are included, but live participation is strongly recommended.
What happens after the three weeks?
You receive 30 days of implementation support through follow-up office hours, community accountability, and your action plan so the work continues after the live programme.
Is this beginner-friendly?
Yes. You do not need to be technical. You only need basic digital literacy and a willingness to apply what you learn to a real business or a well-defined idea.
